Tunisia

I stepped into North Africa for the first time in 2021. Tunisia gave me not only a deep cultural immersion, but a year of self-discovery, emotional healing, and creative reawakening. I met extraordinary people who welcomed me into their lives. I was moved by their generosity, ways of thinking and personal journeys. I learned to embrace the local rhythms, flavours and sounds, and discovered a nuanced society shaped by Islamic heritage and French colonial history, rising and ebbing like the mediterranean sea.

It is here that I began delving in the subjects of migration, belonging and identity. Discovering a whole new world shaped by the patterns of movement, beliefs and choices.
